Ms Astrid was buildt in 1950 in Risør - Norway, to sail as a drift-net fishing
boat to catch herring It was later rebuildt to be a prawn fisher, and finally in
1993 rebuildt to what it is today ; A tourist fishing smack, for the tough ones...
The comfort onboard is also rough, this boat is buildt for fishing!
No need to be worried about a stain or two...
For sea fishing the boat can take up to 12 persons, and You might also sleep
onboard. Sleepingbags are recommended ...
For local firm-trips to local islands, or group trips, the boat might carry up to 40
persons in sheltered waters .
Ms Astri has an Perkins 150 Hp Diesel Engine, and
has a cruising speed of 7 to 8 knots.
Sailing area is the westcoast of Norway, depending on the lease lengt.
Galley - cooking place
In the galley onboard, wich is for simpler
meals, You might make fishsoup from self catched fish, bread, etc.
The boat has also the right to serve beer and wine.
Some preffer to order food from shore, or eat onshore.
You decide.
Galley - Wasing place
This fishing boat needs a captain, and the boats owner has been maritime
since 1958, and has been a skipper since 1977. He has a lot of experience, and
is also well known around the coastline, and find's easily the best fishing
spots around.
There are also an extra person onboard, to assist You with fishing and other
issues. So You are shure to get an pleasent and secure trip.
